Bishop State Adult Education Program

The Certified Nursing Assistant course focuses on the role of the Nursing Assistant as a member of the healthcare team caring for residents in the long term care setting. This course prepares the student for the workforce with specialized training skills.

** Student MUST meet requirements for fee waiver**

Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements for eligibility:

• Must reside in the State of Alabama. 
• Must have internet access
• Must have desktop/laptop with camera
• Present a valid AL ID/Driver License
• Meet the required TABE Reading eligibility score.

Prerequisite (upon eligibility approval): 

• Complete Pre-Screening
• Complete the ACE Assessment. 
• Complete MAPS for Healthcare.
• Attend the required program orientation. 
• Complete all enrollment documentation prior to the start of classes.
