Pharmacy Technician Certificate - Washington County ***PRE-SCREENING/SPRING 2025 WAITLIST***

* REQUIREMENTS*

1. Must be at least 18 years old

2. Must have earned a GED or high school diploma

3. Pass a drug test

4. Pass Criminal Background Check 

5. Have current state issued Drivers License/Identification

Demonstrate their knowledge and commitment to medication safety and effective patient care across pharmacy settings.

Support pharmacists in delivering patient care in various settings, including community pharmacies, hospitals, and other facilities.

A Reading and Math TABE assessment is required for course eligibility. 

If a student scores on the E Level, we will require a review and approval upon entering the course.

Students will receive their certification for this class after they have completed MAPS, ACE, and all coursework.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Current ALABAMA Driver’s License: You’ll need a valid Alabama driver’s license.
  2. Clean Driving Record: Ensure your driving record is free from major violations or accidents.
  3. Pass a Drug Screen: You’ll need to undergo a drug screening.
  4. Pass a DOT Physical Exam: Prepare for a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.

Online coursework required

The Adult Education Career Pathways, help students develop essential workforce skills, including: Computer Literacy, Math for Work, Financial Literacy, Workplace Communication, Workplace Etiquette, Resolving Problems in the Workplace, Healthy Workplace Environment, Employment Preparation, Workplace Safety, and much more!

Successful completion also leads to scholarships, articulated credit, and certificates.
