Phlebotomy Technicians specialize in obtaining blood specimens by venipuncture and micro-collection techniques.  Phlebotomy Technicians learn how to collect and process specimens for the purpose of patient laboratory analysis.

• Must have desktop/laptop with camera
• Present a valid AL ID/Driver License
• Meet the required TABE Reading eligibility score.

• Complete the ACE Assessment. 
• Complete MAPS for Healthcare.
• Attend the required program orientation. 
• Complete all enrollment documentation prior to the start of classes.

The Alabama Non-Traditional High School Diploma Option (HSDO) is an alternative to the GED high school equivalency, designed for students who have completed all of the required credits for graduation but failed the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE), or students who have dropped out of an Alabama public high school.

For an adult who attended an Alabama high school and earned enough credits to graduate, but did not pass the high school graduation exam.

Am I Eligible?

• Participants must have all 24 credits required to graduate from a public high school, or the number of credits established by the local school system that the participant last attended
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Did not pass the Alabama High School Graduation Exam

Demonstrate their knowledge and commitment to medication safety and effective patient care across pharmacy settings.

Support pharmacists in delivering patient care in various settings, including community pharmacies, hospitals, and other facilities.

A Reading and Math TABE assessment is required for course eligibility. 

If a student scores on the E Level, we will require a review and approval upon entering the course.

Students will receive their certification for this class after they have completed MAPS, ACE, and all coursework.
